Iron Man 3

This movie is really AWESOME! I just love the part when the army of Iron Man arrived together and surround them. This scene is so magnificent! I really don't mind watching it again. The suit is really very useful and so high-tech. Many creative ideas are crafted and demonstrated by the suit. They make it feels like the suit is no longer just something Tony Stark will wear but a very diligent assistant.

I think I'm going to watch Iron Man 1 and 2 online. JUST SO NICE! Also, the way Tony Stark speaks and reacts is humorous in his ways which I quite like it. The character is also very intelligent to react to the different situations. I hope this sequel will go on...although the ending of Iron Man 3 doesn't seems to imply that. Anyway, go watch it if you haven't, it's really nice. *THUMBS UP*

Oh ya, there's a china version too, featuring Fan bing bing. I think it's only just some cuts, can watch the trailer for the china version on youtube too.

Baking

I not only love to eat pastries, I like to bake them too! Recently, I have been watching many videos on baking and saw many people with really pretty kitchenware. I'm quite satisfied with the oven I have now but not the electric mixer. The electric mixer has been around in my family for many years. I think ever since I was young? It is still working but it just give me the impression that it will just shut down and die off anytime. I would love to have a new electric mixer, especially the one from Kitchenaid, in YELLOW!

Look at this, isn't this pretty?

I would love to have such measuring spoons of all sizes in YELLOW too! I need this so that there is no need for me to convert cups to grams using the chart every time when the recipe is in the 'cup' units. Pretty right?

Anyway, there are many other colours of electric mixer under Kitchenaid. As long as you can name it, they have it! Don't believe? Go google images, 'Kitchenaid electric mixer' and be prepared to see a rainbow on the screen.

While I was googling that away, I saw some printed Kitchenaid electric mixer. THEY ARE SUPER AWESOME! Have a look....

OMG, I JUST LOVE THIS! One can never go wrong with DAISIES! CHIO TTM!

Then I found out a website regarding paintings on Kitchenaid electric mixer and some other objects such as guitar etc. All the pictures are hand-painted by an artist, can you believe it? At first I thought they are printed onto the surface during manufacture but I was wrong! All of them are specially designed and the artist will go according to what the owner wants and paint on it. How cool is that? This electric mixer not only allows you to make tasty pastries but is also a piece of art which you can beautify your home. These are some of them which I took it off the website, you can go: http://www.un-amore.com/alldesignsgallery.html and have a look. I like how the artist create art pieces on our daily life home appliances and most importantly, they are based on vintage ideas. I JUST LOVE VINTAGE.

Look at how cute the milk maiden is!

Sunflower is yellow, love it too~~~

This reminds me of Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn.
All of them are the icon for vintage!

They are so many other wonderful and pretty artworks on the website, http://www.un-amore.com/alldesignsgallery.html, GO HAVE A LOOK! :D

Alright, I should decide a date and start baking. I already bought all the ingredients earlier today. All I need now is to choose a day to bake them. What will I be baking? :D Up to me to know, up to you to find out!

1st post exam activity

And yes, my freedom came on the 7th may. My very first post exam activity was to have lunch buffet at Kiseki with qinning yesterday. I went to the old one at heeren thrice and thought that Kiseki buffet is really worth it and their food is nice too! However, they moved to Orchard Central now and it's much smaller. The variety of food is also lesser and for some, the taste of the food is also different. I still prefer the old one though. Nevertheless, I have a great lunch, good food, good accompany and good chat. :)

How can I not have waffles? I think it's really nice!
There is a butter smell and taste!

We were SUPER FULL after the lunch. We went in at around noon-12.30pm and left the place at 3pm plus. We went around the malls for some window shopping after that. Well, for me, it's not window shopping luh, haha, I bought a pair of sandals form H&M. SUPER NICE! I fell in love while I was browsing the H&M website before the holidays even started. The real piece is even nicer in real life. I was in a dilemma due to the price ($39.90...okay....for a pair of sandals) but end up buying it. IT'S JUST TOO PRETTY!!!

Then, qinning said the movie 'The Call' is nice and we went to watched it at cineleisure which is just opposite. It was a last minute decision and the movie is AWESOME! Just go watch the trailer and you will be interested to watch it too! It's a movie that is not to be missed if you like detectives, police-related, thriller that kind of movie. Having said that, I wanted to watch IRON MAN 3 at first but qinning just dunno how to appreciate this superhero. Her all time favourite and one and only superhero in her heart is Spiderman. Oh wells, let's see who can I ask to go catch this movie with...if not, I just watch alone? Loner much....

We then went to bugis to visit kissjane. On the way there, I was checking my email and saw Scoot's email telling me that there is a FREAKING 50% OFF FOR FLIGHT TICKETS TO TAIWAN! We planned to go taiwan and were looking and comparing the flight tickets to see which one to get. Lucky we didnt get to too early, if not we will miss this promotion! I'm so happy that I get to save so much for the flight tickets. I only paid $292.49 for to and fro tickets to taiwan with additional baggage of 10kg for the return flight. Surprised that I added 10kg on top of the 15kg which is already included in the package? That's because we are going there for 15 days! The last time I went to taiwan is with shinfen, shunyu and tzumi, for about 13 days. and since tzumi's relative is there, all of us get to stay at her uncle's house. This means that we don't need to pay for accommodation. This time round is different! I have to pay for my accommodation for the FULL 15 days which can easily sums up to 1k plus? Therefore, I'm glad that I can save some money on the flight tickets.  Anyway, my main point of this trip is for more experience and EAT! I doubt I will be shopping much unless I see something which I really like. So I guess I won't spend too much on buying clothes etc? *Fingers crossed* Haha, too early to say it now.

Hmm.....I was thinking, should I get a new camera? Like a good one? Not DSLR of course, I'm not that pro. Maybe a digital camera which can take really clear photos? The one which my family owns is quite old already, it can't really take super clear shots. I dunno.....is this really a need? I might be changing my phone already since it's really laggy these days and the contract is already up for dunno how long liao.........Money, money, money....need to get a job and start earning some more pocket money! It's so hard to find an office environment job for just 2 months! Most of them requires at least 3 months of commitment. Gosh.....I really want to try out office environment job since I've never try before.

-

I'm quite free today. I have nothing much to do other than to give tuition at 7pm. I wanted to go for a run in the late afternoon but it was gloomy and all. I just got my new sport shoes - Asics Gel Netburner in white/blue - and wanted to try it. I've played netball for so many years and this is my very first pair of netburner. I got it through a supplier all thanks to my old netball mate from secondary school. The original price was $209 and I got it at $130! Cheap or what! The quality is really good and I have never felt such support from a sport shoes before. It's really comfy. I hope this pair of sport shoes will last me for quite some time since I only use it for jogging now.

In the end, I did physical fitness at home.

I combined these two and of course, those overlapped, I only did 1 set. I have no stamina now! Seriously, half way through I was already dying! I told myself I have to finish it because I overeat like nobody business yesterday at the buffet. I hope the workout I did just now did shed some calories off. I'm gonna have a light dinner later so that I won't gain back whatever I lost through this workout. More workout sessions soon!

Meet.

I saw this on facebook some time back and it gave me some thought.

What is the real meaning of 'meet' and 'cross our path' in this context? Is it the people whom you meet and know his or her existence even if you do not know his or her name? Or is it even meeting some strangers on the bus or MRT? I think is more of the former, right?

Also, sometimes I wonder. Is Singapore really that small or is it fate that brings 2 person together? Once in a while, when I'm about to leave my house, I will have a feeling that I will meet someone I know on the street that day. Most of them are people whom I know but not really close? We will normally end up with a small chat or 'hi!......bye!'. So in this situation, are they meant to cross my path for a reason? Or is just purely coincidence?

Sometimes, I think I just think too much. :x

My Love for Breakfast!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it provides you with all the energy you need throughout the day. If you have a good breakfast, you will definitely have a good start for the day! So everyone, never skip your breakfast!

I would love to have such breakfast everyday! I won't get sick of them! Furthermore, you can make some changes to them to have a different taste and flavour. For example, add your favourite fruits into your salad/pancake, use a different jam for your scones, have scrambled egg instead of poached egg etc.

To end off, I think it's nice to have breakfast with your loved ones too. Or even prepare breakfast together?

Introverts

I saw this on facebook, this is soooooooo true.

~

Myths Facts About Introverts :

Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk.

This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.

Myth #2 – Introverts are shy.

Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert. Introverts are not necessarily afraid of people. What they need is a reason to interact. They don’t interact for the sake of interacting. If you want to talk to an Introvert, just start talking. Don’t worry about being polite.

Myth #3 – Introverts are rude.

Introverts often don’t see a reason for beating around the bush with social pleasantries. They want everyone to just be real and honest. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable in most settings, so Introverts can feel a lot of pressure to fit in, which they find exhausting.

Myth #4 – Introverts don’t like people.

On the contrary, Introverts intensely value the few friends they have. They can count their close friends on one hand. If you are lucky enough for an introvert to consider you a friend, you probably have a loyal ally for life. Once you have earned their respect as being a person of substance, you’re in.

Myth #5 – Introverts don’t like to go out in public.

Nonsense. Introverts just don’t like to go out in public FOR AS LONG. They also like to avoid the complications that are involved in public activities. They take in data and experiences very quickly, and as a result, don’t need to be there for long to “get it.” They’re ready to go home, recharge, and process it all. In fact, recharging is absolutely crucial for Introverts.

Myth #6 – Introverts always want to be alone.

Introverts are perfectly comfortable with their own thoughts. They think a lot. They daydream. They like to have problems to work on, puzzles to solve. But they can also get incredibly lonely if they don’t have anyone to share their discoveries with. They crave an authentic and sincere connection with ONE PERSON at a time.

Myth #7 – Introverts are weird.
Introverts are often individualists. They don’t follow the crowd. They’d prefer to be valued for their novel ways of living. They think for themselves and because of that, they often challenge the norm. They don’t make most decisions based on what is popular or trendy.

Myth #8 – Introverts are aloof nerds.

Introverts are people who primarily look inward, paying close attention to their thoughts and emotions. It’s not that they are incapable of paying attention to what is going on around them, it’s just that their inner world is much more stimulating and rewarding to them.

Myth #9 – Introverts don’t know how to relax and have fun.

Introverts typically relax at home or in nature, not in busy public places. Introverts are not thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. If there is too much talking and noise going on, they shut down. Their brains are too sensitive to the neurotransmitter called Dopamine. Introverts and Extroverts have different dominant neuro-pathways. Just look it up.

~

So next time when you meet an introvert, please look at him or her in a different way? As the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. Everyone is different and one should always try and get to know a person before judging. Who knows you might just get to see the other side of the person which you will never imagine? And from then on, you will look at him or her differently?

Braces journey coming to an end

So today is my last dental appointment, I will be taking out my braces next month. Excited to see how my final smile will look like!

I asked my dentist about the space each at the corner of my mouth and she said she cannot do anything with it. Oh well, so I can't fill my smile with teeth then. And she actually told me, I'm her first patient who point this out. Hehe...observant!

Anyway, at first I thought my braces is like quite cheap as I counted and kept all the receipts from the start to keep track of it. However, my dentist told me that she forgot to charge me the down payment which is supposed to be done at the start. Now everything sums up to a lot of $$$......right....so it isn't cheap after all -.-

2 things to look forward to:
1) exams to be over and start my summer break
2) my next dental appointment!

:D :D :D
