Cleaning up my room

I did some cleaning for my room and came across this pile of cardboard. Just for your information, they are the cardboard at the end of the page of foolscape pad.

I know it's kinda lame to collect such things, but i dunno.......just got this habit. haha. This collection started when i was in secondary school all the way to end of my JC life. That's why the stack of cardboard is so thick. But i have decided to recycle it, haha, save space too.

*YAY* My purple Macbook Pro cover finally arrived at my house today! So happy can! I waited damm long for it......It should have reached me earlier, but all because of the seller and the warehouse side....

I received the cover quite a long time ago, like last month? But it was PINK in colour but i ordered PURPLE. So i was thinking is it just how the purple look or a wrong item is being sent? I went to ask the seller and the it was the latter. =.= The seller asked me whether i can do with the pink one, you know what i answered? I say i cannot stand pink. Haha. So the seller say i will have to return the pink cover and after they receive it, i will have to wait again for the purple cover. No choice, i really need a cover and i don't like pink so i am alright with it. But the problem is i don't know how to return it to them, furthermore i am suppose to return it to the their warehouse in Hongkong. I asked them for help. The seller decided to let me keep the pink cover and get the purple cover FOC! Yup, i got 2 macbook pro cover for the price of one. Haha. I didn't open the pink one as i am selling it.

Public holiday

Today was my off day, no tuition, no work so went out with tzumi. We went to vivo city, chinatown and somerset. Not much of loot today, but was satisfying though.

Vivo city:
The purpose of going there is to have a look at the new branch of uniqlo. I felt so cheated! Not long ago i bought socks from them too, 3 for $19.90 but because of its new opening sales, it's going at 3 for $9.90! The quality is good, so helped shunyu buy one pack and i really cannot resist, so bought another pack for myself.

We went over to forever 21, purpose is for me to try a maxi dress. I really have no courage to wear it out, really. Haiz, 佩服 tzumi, really.

Chinatown:
We went directly to the shop which we fancy a lot. But it didn't stock up much new stocks, no went empty-handed out of the shop. After that we went to a cosmetic shop which has quite good business, so sort of reliable? The hydrating lotion that the owner recommend is REALLY GOOD. I can actually feel the before and after, is a must buy. We were lucky, heard that it went out-of-stock for a month and recently it got stocked up. While we were there, one lady came in and collect the lotion which she asked the owner to keep one for her. This further shows that it's good! Haha. The original price is $24, got $2 discount since tzumi also bought one.

Since mother's day is on 8 may, tzumi suggest buying something from the shop for my mum. It's a good idea! Since my mum is afraid of the sun, bought her a sun block, SPF 50. It's a pre-make up base too, my mum likes it a lot i think, even thanked me. I let her try the hydrating lotion, she also finds it good, even say if good, she also want to buy in the future after she finishes hers. Tzumi also bought one sun block. She bought another thing which i didn't. It is a lotion which contains chilli that helps to burn fats. But it's more for making the fatty parts firmer which will make her look slimmer. I must take a look at her on 2 june and see if she looks slimmer! My mum even say if really works on her, she also want one! Haha, she wants to get rid of her butterfly arms. Haha....

Somerset:
Tzumi took me to the shop which she think that their clothes are really nice and suits us. It turned out to be true. After that we decided to watch a movie since it's still early. We watched 'Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp', it was suppose to be a horror movie but it wasn't was scary as i thought and something happened in the cinema which made it even more not scary. A man who sat one seat behind me was sleeping SOUNDLY during the movie and happily SNORING away. He came alone i supposed, so no one wake him up at first. We had to bear with his LOUD snore and watch a 'horror' movie. Funny right? But i think someone woke him up, in the end, no more snoring but his snore disturbed us for about 1/4 of the show? After the movie end, everyone was like looking at him cause the cinema in cineleisure wasn't that big too, can easily spot that person.

Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp (M18)
This korean horror movie is not very scary, i didn't even cover my eyes as i normally do that when i watch horror movie. My eyes were uncovered throughout the show. It's more of bloody then scary. M18 maybe because of the language and some issue related to sex and bodies. This movie....not bad but i don't like the ending, didn't tell us what actually happen to some people. If i wee to rate it, it will be 3/5.

1) You're Beautiful

IT IS REALLY VERY NICE! Funny and touching in a few scenes, really worth watching. I even went through it again using fast forward button to those scenes which i like. Furthermore some dramas only have one male lead or female lead that is very good-looking and handsome and we tend to choose one of them to be our favourite. But for this, all the male leads and female lead are my favourites! haha, all of them look so good, no way you will choose one to be better than the others. REALLY! LOVE THIS DRAMA~~~They have their OST too, also very nice, have been listening to it lately, just like what i did after watching playful kiss. MUST WATCH! 

Book:

1) The Notebook - Nicholas Sparks

This book is very touching as mentioned by my gp tuition teacher. Yes is touching somehow but didnt really touched me, maybe because i am confused by the way the writer wrote the story. It is the present then suddenly go back to the past as he recalls and go back to the present. Maybe i am not used to this way of storyline, as i read i am confused somehow, i even need to re-read some parts. But last part is the touching part, yes, but really didn't give me a lot of impact. I even think that The Choice - Nicholas Sparks is better, but don't no why most people will prefer The Notebook, maybe i need to read it again to really experience the the touching part.

Now i am still watching 海派甜心 and reading a new book, by nicholas sparks too. Haha. More love stories.....

Today i got my off day, so went swimming. Before i went swimming, i baked a butter cake, it's a premixed one so very easy to make. It turned out well and taste good too. Now i realised seems like premixed has a higher successful rate and taste better too. I turned the baking tray upside down before i leave for swimming so that i can remove the cake for easily later. But to my horror, the whole cake just fall off from the baking tray and broke into half.....sian. But it tastes good! I went to buy ingredients for carrot cake which i baked it just now after my swim. I also got the things i need for tomorrow as i want to bake brownie and apple tarts. The carrot cake is a success too!  It's really surprising as i didn't really cut the carrots into fine ones so i thought it might turn out bad with all the carrots bits inside. But luckily, NO! Haha, though it's not sweet but my mum say it's good. She prefer pastries that are not that sweet. Hmm, if i got time tomorrow i might bake more carrot cake. 

I like baking because it's really fun, especially the part when you put everything together and mix it. I don't like the baking part when it's in the oven cause need to wait and of course the washing. But after all the waiting and washing i will get to eat PASTRIES WHICH ARE MY FAVOURITE! So no matter how hard the chores are i will still do it. Haha...actually, being a pastry chef is not bad too, get to bake and eat at the same time. After looking how the pastry chef worked in bunalun, i think not bad too. Get to try baking new things and eat new stuffs, good right? 

I got NUS's offer yesterday, Faculty of Science. But i still have no news from NTU, hope it comes soon.

Earlier i went cold storage to get some stuff for bunalun, while i was queuing to pay, i saw this teenagers in front of me and saw him getting this box of cheesy macaroni. I love to eat cheesy things thus went to buy a box and tried it for brunch. It turned out good and i really like the cheesy taste, but of course it's not healthy to eat it regularly. I just trying new stuff.....haha

I had a bad working experience the WHOLE DAY, from the point i stepped into the shop. I had to swallow down all the unhappiness. But i was my lucky day, daily scoop was finally selling the DURIAN flavour ice cream, thus went to have one after work. This durian ice cream is not made from artificial durian flavouring, it's made from real durian, so when you bring that durian ice cream into a place with air-con, the whole place will be filled with the durian smell. It not only smells nice but taste nice too!

I had lunch at swensen alone since lunch break normally cannot have any partner de.....I wanted to try their lunch for a long time already as it's a promotion. I get to choose one main course and get a sundae/drink/side FOC. Of course, i chose sundae. My main course was pasta - penne and the sundae i had was the sticky chewy chocolate. Not bad, but not as wonderful as i expected as it was supposed to be chef's recommendation.

3rd dental appointment
The dentist placed 4 metal rings onto 4 of my teeth. It is really uncomfortable as it tends to prick my tongue, really had a hard time getting used to it. After that i remove my 3 other teeth on the right. This time round the dentist took a shorter time to remove all 3 teeth thus is more pain than the last time round. It seems like the amount of anesthesia they give me this time round is lesser. The procedure is about the same though.

The dentist advised me to remove my wisdom teeth as one of it grew horizontally which will be difficult for me clean as the brush will not be able to reach it. And i was quite surprise that there is no need for me to make appointment for the surgery. I am going to remove 2 wisdom teeth, both on the left. The top one normal extraction will do, but for the bottom one, need surgery as the part revealed is not enough for a normal extraction. The surgery consists of cutting of gums, removing the teeth and stitching it back. No wonder need 5 days MC.....

I had a craving for cake the whole day at work, thus after work, i went over to da paoplo gastronomia for cake. It was my first cake from da paolo, expensive but REALLY DELICIOUS! I had a piece (note that i didn't say slice, you will know why i say this after looking at the picture) of gianduja chocolate cake which costs $8. I don't know what the cake consists of but wanted to eat it as it seems to chocolaty. After i had the first mouth of the cake, then i realised it's actually ferrero rocher, just that it is in a cake form.

15/04/2011:
My off day, so went back to PJC with qinning to get out netball photo and had lunch there. Qinning missed their noodle so much that she and i had one bowl of noodle each and i had to share a plate of hokkien mee with her on top of that. We saw mdm lim while having lunch, her hair is so much longer now and look sort of weak. She told us that the jc1 are so hardworking and having so many consultations to the extend that as though they are having A level this year.....really tough and competitive.....

After a trip to school, we went far east plaza to shop. I bought a shoe and qinning bought nothing.....this shoe is really comfortable, maybe because of the material.

After that we went to bugis to shop. At bugis street, i found something which i was looking for since last year! After so long and determination, i found it! Haha, no la, actually i didn't expect it to find it in a shop cause i first saw it online and thought that it's very hard for shops to sell it. It is a chiffon top, regretted not buying it after seeing it online last year. I remembered the top and continued to look for it online. Recently saw it in gmarket, but since it's an old stock, the seller discontinued the stock from her supplier. So still didn't get it. At bugis street, we went to the third floor which was new and saw this shop with a rack that is on sale. The price for each piece on the rack is 'one for $25, two for $40'. We browsed through the rack and found the top i wanted! SO LUCKY CAN!!! But they don't have it in white so got the blue one instead as the pink one is way too striking and i cannot stand pink. Haha.

Can't seems to rotate it....ps...

Great shopping that day but qinning didn't buy anything though. We had steamboat for dinner opposite bugis street. I must have good food before i put on braces, haha.

4th dental appointment
Today is my happy day, finally can put on braces. LONG WAITED!!! Putting on braces took me about 30 mins, not painful at all. I chose purple for my braces, like it lot! After putting on braces, i thought it's the painful period as i need to remove my wisdom teeth. But to my surprised the dentist said need to make appointment for consultation and extraction. Like i mentioned earlier, the other dentist said don't need. So there was a miscommunication.....-.- I have to wait till 4 may for the consultation and 25 may for the extraction. Haiz, shouldn't have believe the other dentist......

My macbook cover which i bought online on gmarket finally came. It was delivered to my house but i was still sleeping when the postman came and no one was at home so didn't receive it on the 19th. Thus, i went to the post office at west mall to get it the next day. Once i reached home and opened it, to my HORROR, it was PINk but not PURPLE. Then i was wondering is the purple just look so pink or the seller mail the wrong item. After i asked the seller, she found out the wrong item was mailed to me. She asked whether i can make do with the pink one or if not just return the pink one to her and they will mail me the purple one. Of course, i replied her i cannot stand pink so will return her the pink one and wait for the purple one to come. But i told her the truth that i have no idea how to mail it back to her. So, she finally gave in and said, just use the pink one to protect my macbook first and they will mail the purple one for me FOC. Haha....*YAY* this means that i bought 2 macbook cover for $30.58. But i need to wait for weeks before my purple macbook cover reach me.....This is the pink one.....

Jiaying left for sydney today at around 7.45pm. Haiz, had farewell with the the day before at holland village as i need to work. We had dinner at swensen and chat a lot. We prepared a photo frame and a group photo of us for her. We put the photo into the photo frame and told her to bring it together with her to sydney. The photo frame has some musical notes and is black in colour, all her favourites! Then we went to the void deck nearby to take some photos. Hope she will be back soon. Jiaying, must come back in july and let's go taiwan for holidays together with shunyu and tzumi, ok? I really look forward to that day.....

2nd dental appointment

04/04/2011:
Today was my 2nd dental appointment, i put on separators and extracted 3 teeth which are all on the left. This is to allow me to still be able to eat well using the left side of teeth.

The separators are rubber-bands-like stuff which are in between my teeth. I have a total of 8 separators. I think they are to separate the teeth so that they can have space to be aligned neatly? Not pain at all, just that the 'band' is quite tight i think, my dentist use quite a big strength and put it on my teeth.

Truly speaking, the extraction of my teeth is not painful at all. Their anesthesia is so strong! They injected into my gum at around 11am but the numb only went off at around 4pm! Really glad that it's strong, if not definitely will be damm painful. In total, i need to extract 6 teeth, reason being that i have 2 baby teeth thus need to remove them too including the standard 4 teeth.

My dentist for brace and extraction of teeth is different, the former is a female while the latter is a male. This makes sense too since male will have a larger strength to extract the tooth out. This male dentist of mine is very funny. During the injection of the anesthesia, he keep on saying 'sorry' to me every time he injects the anesthesia into my gum. I can see his hand shaking and trembling with the huge needle in front of my face. I was praying hard throughout, praying that nothing will happen with this dentist's shaky hand. Also, before the whole thing, the dentist told me that my 老虎牙  is quite difficult to extract as there isn't much space for him to shake and pull since it is grown on top and at an inner part. So, he told me during the extraction the root of the tooth might just gave way and broke. If this happens, i will have a surgery. So i asked, 'what's the surgery?' He answered in a very straight and direct way, 'well, i will have to cut the gum, remove the root and stitch it back again.' After hearing that, i realized that extraction of tooth can be so serious. So i also prayed hard during the extraction that the root won't break.

Something even more funny of the dentist, maybe because his hand is trembling, when he want to remove the needle for the anesthesia out of my mouth after he's done with all the injection, you know what happen? As he remove the needle out of my mouth, the needle actually POKE MY LIP. AND THE DENTIST WENT, "OH SORRY!" I feel even worse can! Trembling hand, poked my lip, and with the risk i need to go surgery if the root break......=.='''''

And the extraction begins....very successful for all three teeth. I feel nothing, just numb. The nurse still need to hold my head down as the dentist pull out my teeth one by one. Indeed, my 老虎牙 took some time before it is extracted out, buy luckily the root didn't break, PHEW! Hope this will be the same for my right side's 老虎牙. The extraction took about 20 - 30 mins. No pain at all, GOOD! I took my 3 teeth home! haha, 3 more on the 11/04/2011. I need to bite on gauze to stop the bleeding and the bleeding stops at around 2pm.

I can eat things normally, but those that requires lots of chewing, i can't. Not due to the missing teeth but the separators. Each chew and bite will feel a bit of pain so if it's too hard i will just give up. The dentist told me the separators might fall off, but it will not be harmful to the body if i were to swallow it. Haha.

Excited about 18/04/2011 which is my 4th appointment, because it's the day when i can put on my braces. Though i heard that it will be very uncomfortable, but i really want to see how i will look after putting on braces. Hope it's good!

09/04/2011:
Went to work today which is suppose to be the most busiest day out of the week. But  it is only busy in the morning. I did something stupid today. I was cutting the oranges to make orange juice, but i lost focus. A customer came in and i looked at her while cutting the oranges, and ta-da, blood on my finger. I dunno what to do at that moment of time. I tried to stop the bleeding my running water on my finger, but the blood just keep flowing. I seek help from the chef. He gave me an alcoholic damped cotton and told me to sterilise the finger by wiping with it. Then he sticked the plaster on for me. Lucky still got them, if not i really have no idea on what to do. I have no knowledge on first aid. But now i know. This will be my first time and the last time.

Day out with 老朋友

Friday managed to go out with jiaying, shunyu and tzumi......like FINALLY! It's really hard to go out together because of shunyu's and my job. No way for us to off together as we take turns to work in a week.

We had good food at Tao's restaurant situated at Pomo mall. The food there are quite special, especially their beverages. They served 6 course meal for lunch and 7 course meal for dinner. We are able to choose the choice of each dish except the starter. A lot of food are those that i hardly tasted before and the way of preparing it are also very different too. We had lunch for just $21. That's including the 10% discount due to my dear supervisor, michelle. She has a friend who is an assistant manager working in the restaurant thus by just saying her name, we got the 10% discount. Good food, cheap meal and able to enjoy it with close friends is such an enjoyment, too bad jiaying only reach the restaurant after we finished the whole 6 course meal. I have uploaded the pictures of all the food we had that day. Now, the reason i say that their beverages are special is because they serve only iced tea, with about 6 choices. Not those normal soft drinks that kind. Furthermore, don't think that the teas they served are normal standard teas. They served teas with fruits like i had the iced summer peach tea which is very refreshing! They added chamomile herb, peach slices and ice in a small jug as one portion of beverage. It comes with a really small tea cup like the one japanese used for their tea. Shunyu had the same as i am but tzumi had iced apple rose tea. Again, it's nice too. Their tea attracted me a lot......i will definitely dine in there again. MUST! Haiz, i saw a teacher there at the restaurant that day. It's my GP teacher - Mrs Oh - who gave me extra lessons for GP....i think she's with her husband.

After the lunch, we went KBox. First time going with them but it's my second time there. We went to the one at scape, new experience.....the air-con there is a bit faulty, not cold at all. We sang for about 3 hour plus and settled down at toast box to chat and have a drink.

Then we walked around the malls and came across MANGO. I saw this purse the other day at MANGO but didn't buy in the end. So went in there again and after much consideration and bought it in the end. It's $35, my most expensive wallet that i ever owned. I will use as long as i can......

Then we went to the rooftop garden at Orchard Central. We took lots of photos there. How nice to end the day just like that.

Looking forward to the next meet up. Dunno when we can do that though. That day, we did plan about going taiwan together, just the four of us. If we were to do that, i bet it will be very fun. Let's start saving money for this trip! Really hope we can go there this july. We'll see how it goes.......
