Cool experience

Had a catering event at work. It's quite normal for us as we do many events before. But this time round is SO COOL! Reason is because it's on a YATCH. For most of the people, like me, only get to see yatch on television, hardly can have a chance to see a real life yatch in front of us, not even saying to be on it.

Actually i didn't get to participate as they can only allow one organizer and one chef to be on the yatch, so cannot go. But to set up the stuff all those, 2 supervisors, 3 chefs and 1 driver went to help carry and prepare for the event. But of course only 2 went for the yatch ride, the others all came back. I was left in the shop with one chef to look after the shop. T.T

Luckily, the supervisor who came back ask me whether want to go have a look since they also need some help to bring back all the stuff. And i tagged along. Like what my supervisor told me, i can considered this as once in a lifetime as without a valid reason, no one can enter sentosa cove. And it's really my first time and maybe the last time for me to see and be on the yatch. The photos are up on my facebook, too bad i didn't take photos of the yatch while i'm on it. It's really an experience that i will never forget even though i am only on the yatch for 5 minutes plus?

After that, we now have 4 people who need to go back to the shop, excluding the driver. The truck that he drove can only allow 2 people to sit at the front. What to do? Since my supervisor and i sat at the front for the 1st journey, we gotta sit at the back for the returning journey. Now, the back. What's at the back of a delivery van for bunalun? It's a freezer. Yes, a freezer which keeps our organic food cool and fresh so that they are still in the best state when delivered to our customers. New experience AGAIN!

Sat in the freezer throughout the journey back. It's enclosed mind you. Lucky our efficient driver turn off and on the 'air-con' throughout the journey, if not we will either suffocate or freeze to death. Haha, no joke, the 'air-con' is really freezing. Only 5 minutes plus, my ears turned cool already. Imagine he didn't off the 'air-con', we will really freeze. Like i mentioned earlier, it is enclosed. There is no window for us to see where we are now......so how? Out came our good friend, Iphone! Haha, we used our GPS and thus know where we were at that time. Quite fun though. At first, our dear driver like forget that there are 2 humans at the back so drove quite fast. Can you imagine what happen to us when he went up a hump with a fast speed? Yes, we literally BOUNCED, worst still, not once, but a few times. It's really funny as i just sat right in front of my supervisor, i saw her going 'up, down, up down, up......down.....'. I think the driver realised immediately after her went over 1 hump and true enough, we didn't bounce for the rest of the journey.

My very own laptop

I got my very first laptop, Macbook Pro on the 19/03/2011. I finally can have a personal laptop and there is no need for me to share it between my siblings. This feeling is so good.

This post is my first post on my macbook pro, haha. One thing about mac is that there are really a handful (or a lot?) of applications that cannot be used and enjoyed on mac. This is really a headache. The reason i bought mac is because of its quality assurance. Definitely not because it's mac etc. But if i really want to enjoy those non-mac-friendly applications, i have to install window OS. Haiz.....if that's the case then it will be a situation where by the outer is mac but inside is windows...which is so.....-.-'''

I'll see how it goes. Hope i won't regret buying mac. It's $2488 leh......

Went to Sanata fe at riverboat, marina bay with qinning yesterday. The mexican buffet is really good. The ambience is so high class as it's on a boat, dim lightings and the service is acceptable. The buffet is ala carte so no need for us to walk around to get the food. We managed to try most of the food on the buffet menu. I think it's very worthwhile to travel all the way there for the buffet given the quality of the food and the price we have to pay. We thought that we won't be able to pay the student price but in the end we did. In total, each of us paid about $26 plus after service charge and GST. Don't you think it's cheap and value for money? I will definitely dine in there again.

My results

I'm really shocked to see my results. Shocked till the extend that tears started to fill up in my eyes upon seeing it on 4th march. I still couldn't understand why my gp grade is like that. When I first got my results and was about to scan through my grades. The first grade I saw was for gp, which is soooooo disappointing. I know that I am weak in gp but I didn't expect myself to get such a grade for A levels.

I just hope that everything will be smooth and I can successfully go university with the course I like and will enjoy studying. It is so difficult to choose a course to study. I am not really sure where my interest lies.....how to know what is my interest? Is there a test or something like that?

This weekend is the open house for ntu and nus. I hope by going the open house I can get to know the courses better and see which course is the most suitable one for me. This Saturday will be a tiring day or Shunyu and I. In the morning, we will go to the cafe a work till the crowd lessen then go to ntu open house. After that, we will travel back to holland village and help clean up. Haiz....no choice. Michelle went overseas and cannot find anymore part-time....so no choice....at least we can go the open house and not miss it.

Got this new app - talkbox, it is so fun! Can save my 100mins free out-going call. I can now chat with my friends for free!!! It works just Luke a walkie talkie. Jut need to have wifi or 3G and it will work. Can even use it between Singapore and Malaysia. If can use it between countries which are further, it can really save a alot of phone bills and allow friends and families to chat with their loved ones as long as they want. What a wonderful app! Really love apple.

I'm intending to get a Mac book. Should I? Should I not? Mac got quality but is it really worth the money? Or should I just get a normal laptop that is of a reasonable price at the IT fair? I need to pay part of the amount of the laptop I buy, so need to really sit down and think. Furthermore, I need money for my phone bills and my brace treatment so need to be cautious when I spend my money. *sigh* Any suggestions?
